A group of 11 women stayed at High Trenhouse near Malham Tarn for 3 full days of delightful walks straight from the door. The stunning limestone scenery, with its waterfalls, caves and of course the Cove, and especially the unique limestone pavement, with its clints and grikes, made our walking varied and fascinating. A walk along a drovers’ track over the moor to the market town of Settle satisfied women who wanted a bit of retail therapy, and everyone enjoyed the tea shops and cakes. Some women walked back from Settle to High Trenhouse,enjoying views of the three Yorkshire peaks, while others took the shuttle bus, and were dropped off at the door, back in time for a soothing dip in the jacuzzi,or to enjoy the lovely garden in the sunshine. As the days were long, we had a walk around the tarn after dinner on a couple of evenings, to see waterbirds settling for the night. Other evenings we enjoyed playing games in the conservatory. “Accommodation second to none -great having the place just for us. Staff were friendly, location & ambience terrific.
