What can you expect from a Women Out Walking holiday?

We only take small groups, usually around 10-12 women, so everyone gets to know each other pretty quickly.

On our walks we enjoy the views, and we take time to look at things and places of interest. We think it's a pity to be in so much of a hurry that we don't have time to stop and look!

We like to have good meals, and stay in comfortable places, usually with ensuite bathrooms.

Lots of women come on their own, and we try to make sure there are plenty of single rooms, or doubles for single use.

When you book, we like to check that you are choosing the right grade of walk for your fitness level, so that you enjoy your walking holiday.

We'll take the time to help you with your travel arrangements, and can give advice on what walking kit you'll need.

Please contact us if you have any queries at all about our holidays, and we'll be happy to help.

About Anne

I have always loved walking and have been organizing walking breaks for my family and friends for many years. I started Women Out Walking in 2007, after being made redundant, and I lead many of the walking holidays myself*. Many of the venues I use for accommodation have been tried and tested by us over the years, and I am always looking for new places to walk. I feel there is nothing to beat the British countryside and nothing lifts the soul like a country walk, with the wind in my hair and the clouds scudding across the sky. To enjoy this with a group of like-minded women is a lot of fun and very therapeutic.

I am particularly interested in archaeology, geology and landscape history, and I do a nice line in home-made cakes, both of which I like to share with the group!

I have trained as a Walking Group Leader and have an up to date Outdoor First Aid qualification.
